We offer a variety of assessment services to meet the individual needs of our clients. Please let us know if the assessment you are needing is not listed.  

An Expectation of Competency

This assessment is an initial evaluation of an individual’s use of alcohol and/or other impairing substances. It consists of a written psychological screening and a face-to-face clinical interview. The entire process usually takes 1-1 ½ hours.

Juvenile Competence Evaluation

Our VIP Promise

We address the competency of juvenile defendants to stand trial through an unbias clinical assessment based on over 10 years of experience working with children in the Department of Juvenile Justice.

As with adult defendants, an inquiry regarding competence to stand trial starts with the criteria set forth by the U.S. Supreme Court in Dusky v. United States (1960). The core questions to be addressed involve (1) the defendant’s “present ability to consult with his lawyer with a reasonable degree of rational understanding” and (2) whether the defendant has a “rational as well as factual understanding of proceedings against him.”

Assessment

The US National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety defines job stress as, “the harmful physical and emotional responses that occur when the requirements of the job do not match the capabilities, resources, or needs of the worker.”
